Quiet and heats great

The dryer works great! Heats and runs smoothly. My one complaint is the push button start. It™™s not easy to start. You must hold the button for 2-3 seconds. Not one second shorter or longer. Otherwise it won™™t start. Not user friendly at all. It takes me sometimes more than twice to get it started back.

After 32 years my Kitchen Aid dryer finally said enough! I found it difficult to find a basic dryer that fit our needs, we're retired, so no weekly heavy work clothes and no pets but this model had the basic features I felt I needed. I've had it 2 months and I'm reviewing it as it's OK. I'm finding that no matter what setting I use, blue jean and elastic waistband's don't dry thoroughly. I hesitate to run through another cycle for fear of shrinking so I hang to finish drying. Regular loads, shirts, underwear, towels, using the appropriate setting and heat, dry thoroughly. The wrinkle prevent setting works great. I like the knob to select the setting and heat level. Sometimes I have a hard time starting the cycle with the small push buttons but I'm getting used to how long I have to hold each one. I like the quietness of the tone letting me know that the cycle is done with the option of turning it off. I didn't know how I'd like the side opening door but have gotten used to it. I find that I drape things over it to remind that that those need hangers and not folded. Its been useful saving walk space over the drop down door of my old dryer. But my biggest frustration is the curved top of the dryer...why?!! We do use the top as a landing space for things headed to the basement but the vibration of the washer being next to the dryer makes things slide off. Not sure what the purpose of the curved top is so sorry, not a fan. So I'm generally happy with the dryer but did buy an extended warranty because multiple salespeople told me that the shelf life is likely 7-10 years. They laughed when I told them my old one lasted 32 years and said new models wouldn't make it that long. Hope this review helps.

I haven't had the appliance long enough to be able to provide a review. However, right from the beginning I could tell that I am not a fan of the newer model. I liked my Atlantis dryer much better and it was still working after several years of ownership. Only got the newer Maytag dryer to match the washing machine (which I really haven't adapted to!).

I like my new Maytag but it doesn™™t pull all the parfait out. Plus on the door there was a spot where paint was bubbled up. Plus on one of the dials the silver plastic insert was cracked. I did call Maytag but there was no repairman close& I was offered to get issues fixed& get reimbursed. I decided not to, the dryer does work, it™™s just all cosmetic. I was worried I would not get reimbursed. Honestly, I doubt I will buy Maytag in the future.

What I hate is the lint removal process. There is no way to remove lint without it getting all over the top of dryer and elsewhere. Also this dryer is much louder than my last Maytag that l gave away still working after 32 years.

Washer/dryer Malfunctions 6/26/2026

We were so excited to get our first brand-new Maytag washer/dryer because of their stellar reputation. But we've had problem after problem. The dryer had issues, it would seem the two cycles were switched because the dryer didn't stop at the set time on the timed cycles, but it did stop before clothes were dry on the sensing cycles. The matching washer errored out at the rinse cycle. Lights flashed but the lid was still locked and it appeared that it was trying to fill with rinse water, but water was not coming out, only making a whirring noise. So they came to switch out the malfunctioning machines, but upon removing from their truck, they found something wrong with the new dryer, so they did not bring the washer or dryer in or take away the malfunctioning machines. Third time, new washer and dryer installed, malfunctioning ones removed. Wash cycle worked, but same error at the rinse cycle. I was able to work around by turning off the machine and starting the wash cycle again, then turning off at error, and doing the drain/spin cycle. But then the machine also started draining as it was filling/agitating, so the machine never filled. Dryer had same issues as the first. So we have returned these for a refund and are now without a washer/dryer. :(

Purchased a Maytag dryer on 5/8/2026. On 5/13/26 started getting an error code. Contacted the vendor who referred us to Maytag. Maytag sent a technician on 5/20/26. He was not able to find out why it was not working correctly and said he would have to order parts and would replace them all since he cannot figure out the issue. Stated that it would take a week for the parts or could be as long as a month to get the parts. Called Maytag again today to get this resolved. they said their policy was that the resolution team has three business days to get back with us to resolve this issue and they could not replace the dryer or refund the money until the resolution team reviewed it. That means they would have until 5/26/26 to get back with us being 5/25/26 is a holiday. Meanwhile we our out a dryer and can't get any resolution. Had to call Maytag again because the "Resolution Team" did not call me on 05/27/2026. Said the technician had ordered the part on 05/21/2026 and it was on the way, and the technician would come back once they received it. Called the technician to see where the part is and they informed me the part just got shipped on 05/26/26. Doesn't know when it will get in but will call to set up an appointment once it gets in. In the meantime, I do not have a dryer. Is this what customer service looks like now? This could have been easily rectified by letting me return the dryer to the vendor and get another dryer or replace with the exact same model or refund me so I could buy a different dryer. I will not buy another Maytag product!! And yes, I know that Maytag is part of Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amana, and Gladiator. I did file a complaint with BBB. I had never done that before and probably will not hear anything from Maytag.

Pet pro extra dryer front loading leaking issues

Absolute piece of garbage. Water leaked out of the front door during the steam option on day one. I was told by the repairman that my water pressure may be too high ( not the case ) , the door wasn™™t fitting right , and I needed a new door seal. Now four months later , it™™s still it fixed. I was told today from the dealer I purchased it from , AK Nahas in Midland , PA, that you can only use the steam function when the dryer is full. It doesn™™t say that in the booklet when you buy this piece of junk. Also, the dryer doesn™™t dry the clothes completely and you must use multiple attempts to dry them. There is a sensor in the drum that must be wiped off with rubbing alcohol to get it to work properly. I usually purchase but Maytag products but avoid this model and AK Nahas as well.

The end of cycle buzzer is VERY quiet; can barely be heard from a nearby room. Also the start button is hard to get to start at times; if you press it too long it doesn't do anything. And if you stop a cycle and try to start another too quickly, it does not work.
